Happy Birthday Liana!

Liana’s 1st Birthday is on June 3rd and we had her birthday party on Saturday at Water Works Park. It was a fantastic day and all of Lian’s friends were there. The kids played in the creek, fed ducks and played on the playground. Liana seemed to thoroughly enjoy herself. Thank you to everybody who came! You can see photos in the Events Album.

Baby Aubrie!

Julie had baby Aubrie Reese Johnson on March 30th at 6:42am. Aubrie and Julie are in good health and expected to come home on Friday.

Easter Egg Hunt

We took the girls to an Easter Egg Hunt at Galt Park on Saturday. Olivia had a great time finding eggs and hanging out with her friend Delaney. Liana just enjoyed hanging around. Later in the day we had a nice hike at the Nature Realm with Grandma and Pop-Pop. Olivia spent much of the hike collecting rocks & sticks for the birds.

Spring is here and the Vaughns are excited! We’ve been out a few times already, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. The girls are both doing well. Olivia is anxious to get outside and play whenever possible. She has already been in her sandbox, on her tricycle, at the park, to the Beaver Marsh, and on several walks around the neighborhood. She still loves her gymnastics class and will demonstrate her “tricks” to anyone who asks. Liana has tagged along with what she could. She’s 9 months old now and “on the go.” She crawls all over the place, pulls up on things, and has stood without holding onto anything. She’ll be walking in no time! (Where does the time go?) She is a very happy baby- always squealing and smiling! Rob’s been continuing with his photography. He now has many pictures permanently on display at the Nature Realm (a nature center in Akron). Surely golf will find it’s way back into his routine soon. I’m still busy with work and the kids. I get out once a week to play volleyball with friends. And I’m anticipating a fun spring and spending as much time outdoors with the family as possible.
As most people know, Olivia and Liana have two cousins on the way. Aunt Julie will be having baby Aubrie in just a couple of weeks. And Aunt Trisha will bring another surprise along in August. More kids in the family means so many more fun memories for all of us!

Tigers and Ducks and Sheep

The kids had a pretty good Halloween this year. Olivia got to go trick or treating about 5 times and she is pretty nice about sharing her candy with dad. The girls went to Boo at the Zoo and Idlewild on top of all the neighborhoods. Liana seemed to enjoy herself, but it’s hard to tell.

Circleville Pumpkin Show

We experienced our first “Circleville Pumpkin Show” on October 24th. We spent our time down there with the Jones family and saw some unique things. Most memorable- the biggest pumpkins ever and the “hog calling” contest. It was rainy and chilly, but lots of fun!
