The kids had a pretty good Halloween this year.  Olivia got to go trick or treating about 5 times and she is pretty nice about sharing her candy with dad.  The girls went to Boo at the Zoo and Idlewild on top of all the neighborhoods.  Liana seemed to enjoy herself, but it’s hard to tell.

We experienced our first “Circleville Pumpkin Show” on October 24th.  We spent our time down there with the Jones family and saw some unique things.  Most memorable- the biggest pumpkins ever and the “hog calling” contest.  It was rainy and chilly, but lots of fun!

My grandma, Virginia Vaughn passed away on 10.23.09.  She was such happy and interesting lady and we will miss her so much!  You could always find her in a room by her wonderful laugh!  We Love you Grandma!

I’m a little jealous, but my parents, Julie, and RJ got to have some personal Cup time last week at a Stanley Cup Party.

We had a great visit with Dan, Debbie, and Ethan on Saturday.  We did our annual trip to the pumpkin farm.  This year we went to Kingsway Farm in Hartville, OH.  The kids seemed to really enjoy the animals this year, they had an area with rabbits that you could just walk around in and Olivia loved petting them and pointing them out to us.  You can see more photos from the trip in our Holiday’s Gallery.

Our summer was very busy, but lots of fun. We spent many days at the park, swimming pool, zoo, and whatever else we could do to get out and enjoy the weather. We made it out to Idlewild in Ligonier two times which was a lot of fun. We also got to see a lot of the Caldwell family at Jenn and Taite’s wedding! So good to see each other after so long.

Olivia turned 2 in July and had a fun birthday party with friends and family. She’s as cute as ever doing funny, silly, 2-yr old things. She sure is a chatterbox- speaking in three and four
word sentences all the time. She loves playing with her baby dolls, dancing, blowing bubbles, and going down her new slide.

Liana is 3 months old now. She smiles and coos a lot, and recently started laughing. Olivia loves her and tries to help take care of her. They “talk” to each other now- Olivia saying things like “Hi Liana” and “Hi pretty girl” and Liana coos right back at her. It’s the sweetest thing to watch.

I’m back to work after maternity leave. It’s going well. Tough to leave the girls, but good to get back to a routine again. I’m still not really accepting that summer is over. But at least now volleyball starts again and I’m excited to play. Robb is still playing in the Prelude band through our church. Anyone is welcome to come watch him anytime. He plays every 6 weeks on Saturday nights. And every once in a while, Robb and I get to say hello to each other and enjoy eachother’s company. Tough to do with two little ones, but we wouldn’t
change it for the world. We love our busy, wonderful life!

We are now a family of 4!! Olivia became a big sister to
Liana Marie Vaughn on June 3^rd at 4:23 pm. She weighs 7.2 oz and is 19 inches long- almost the same as Olivia was. She’s such a little bundle of love and we’re all doing great! Olivia is adjusting well…it helps that she loves to take care of her baby dolls. Now she just imitates what Mommy does with Liana. Thank you to all of our friends and family for their thoughts and prayers during this exciting time!

Everything is still going really well for us. Olivia is 19 months old and funnier than ever! Lately she loves spinning, dancing, and trying to blow bubbles. Although she just ends up eating the soap on the bubble wand, she still thinks it’s the greatest thing ever! We’ll be working on moving her into her new bedroom before baby #2 comes. Shelly is feeling great-
25 weeks along now. The new baby has been moving a lot…very active in the evening and night time.

Robb has been playing bass in a band again. He now plays for the Prelude band at our church coffee house. It’s great to watch him again, and cute that Olivia gets to see her Daddy playing music!

We finally got some new photos uploaded! Check the Holidays and Olivia galleries for some Christmas and New Years pics. Of course Olivia got everything she wanted for Christmas and so did the Grandparents, they got to watch her while Shelly and I went to San Antonio
for a few days. We went to Akron’s First Night on New Years Eve and saw lots of good bands and Liv really enjoyed the puppet show and the Cajun jam band.

The Vaughn family will be growing again!
We’re expecting baby #2 on June 10^th!!! (Olivia will be almost 2 then.) We had an ultrasound on Monday and everything is going well! The baby looks healthy with a strong heartbeat! 10 weeks now, so hopefully the nausea will be going away soon. We’ll keep everyone updated as things progress and baby Vaughn grows!

Trisha and Terry had a baby girl! Mayla Renee Brunazzi was born on November 6- 7lbs, 11oz and 21 inches long. She’s a beautiful, healthy baby and everyone is doing well. Nico is being a sweet big brother, and Trisha’s trying to steal as many naps as she can during he day- there’s not much sleeping at night yet. Check out the “friends and family” folder on the left for some sweet pictures. (Olivia had a lot of fun watching the new little girl…finally, another girl for her to play with.)

Olivia turned 1 on July 23rd! She’s busy “talking” and playing all of the time. She has taken a few steps so far, but gets around much faster by crawling. We have been spending time at the park, at the nearby pool, and celebrating her friends’ birthdays. We took a family road trip to Maine right before her birthday…and had a wonderful time. It has been a great summer! Some new photos have been added, check the

Not a whole lot new, Olivia is still growing, eating, talking, and rolling around a lot! She had her first swim class on 3/15, here is a video. We also posted a few pictures under the “Olivia” gallery.

Well, incase you hadn’t heard, Julie got married. She married R.J. Johnson at the Westmoreland County Courthouse on November 3rd.

We had a baby girl!! Olivia Amy Vaughn was born on July 23^rd. She weighed 7.0 pounds and 21 inches long. We are loving our new little girl… the perfect addition to our family.  We’re all home and doing well. Look in the album for a few photos of her.

We have a new nephew!!! Trisha had a baby boy on Thursday June 7, 2007 at 9:01 pm!!  His name is Nico Lee Brunazzi; 7 lbs, 19.5 inches. Everyone is healthy and enjoying being home from the hospital. Click on the “Baby Nico” album on the left to see some pictures taken from the first few days of his life.

The DNA results just came in for Shelly and Trisha’s identical twin test and it turns out they actually ARE IDENTICAL! This explains a lot!
